Stuffed bell peppers are a simple, comforting meal made with seasoned meat, white rice and tomato sauce. They are easy to prepare and perfect for dinner or leftovers. 

Ingredients 

  • 4–6 bell peppers 
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey 
  • 1 cup cooked white rice 
  • 1 small onion, diced 
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced 
  • 1 can tomato sauce 
  • Salt, pepper, paprika 
  • Shredded cheese (optional) 

Directions 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Cut tops off peppers and remove seeds. 
  2. Cook onion and garlic in a skillet, then brown the ground meat. 
  3. Stir in cooked rice, seasonings and half the tomato sauce. 
  4. Stuff mixture into peppers and pour remaining sauce over the top. 
  5. Cover with foil and bake 30–35 minutes. 
  6. Add cheese and bake 10 more minutes if desired. 

            A warm, classic dish that’s filling, colorful and easy to customize.
