| Charles A. Ault reporter | Staff from PSU’s music department traveled all the way to New York to select pianos from the Steinway factory itself. Four pianos, two uprights, a grand piano and a model D concert grand piano were selected and shipped to the new Bicknell Family Center for the Arts. “The ones we selected have incredible, rich sounds, lots of character, all the ranges, and beautiful touch,” said Reena Natenberg, professor of piano. “It’s a dream to have them.” The first concert on one of the new pianos was held on Tuesday, March 31. “Piano Extravaganza,” as the concert was titled, saw nine individuals perform pieces on the model D concert grand….

VA group moves to Pittsburg The Southeast Kansas Chapter (No. 6) of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) has moved from Fort Scott to Pittsburg, and will hold meetings at the American Legion building on 2815 N.
