| Dakota Smith reporter | The Pittsburg State track and field teams competed at the MSSU Bill Laptad Invitational on Friday, April 25. The invitational was the final tune-up before the MIAA Championships, which will begin Friday, May 2. The men’s team saw freshman Bo Farrow win discus with a throw of 171-7. Senior Cody Holland finished second with a throw of 165-9 and fellow senior Shane Lundquist finished fourth with a throw of 161-1. Farrow holds the top mark in the MIAA heading into the conference championships, while Lundquist sits third and Holland sits fourth. Team wraps up season wwith 18-32 overall | Dakota Smith reporter | The Gorilla baseball team wrapped up its season with a split in a four-game series against the Bearcats of Northwest Missouri State on Friday, April 25, and Saturday, April 26, in Maryville, Mo. In game one of Friday’s doubleheader, the Bearcats took the lead with 1-0 in the bottom of the first inning.
