Poetry reading Thursday
Wyatt Townley, nominee for the Pushcart Prize, will read some of her works at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 3, in the Governors Room of Overman Student Center.
Townley has appeared in hundreds of venues, been read on NPR and appeared in Ted Kooser’s “American Life in Poetry” column.
Photo seminar, contest
The Student Association of Photographers will host the Perspectives of Photography Seminar, Shoot-Out & Photography Competition at the Kansas Technology Center on April 11 and 12.
This event will provide attendees with the opportunity to participate in five workshops/classes. The photography competition categories include black and white, color, portrait and digital manipulation. Rules and entry forms can be accessed on the SAPS website.

The PSU Kelce College of Business has secured accreditation with the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide.
Finals survival kits
Pitt State nursing students will be selling “finals survival kits” online at https://squareup.com/market/items?query=KANS. Kits ordered by 11:59 p.m. April 25 will be $10 and $12 afterward.
Students are asked to name their Greek organization, dorm or, for students in non-campus housing, list 101 McPherson Hall, Pittsburg State University, in the address box and their name in the comment box.
Kits may be picked up at McPherson Hall during dead week.
The Kansas Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) will host a fundraiser entitled “Keep Calm and Hand Over the Keys” from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, April 4, in the Governors Room of Overman Student Center.

Disney karaoke night
Gorillas in Your Midst will host a Disney karaoke night 8 to 10 p.m. Thursday, April 3, in the U-Club in the basement of the Overman Student Center. Prizes will be given to the individual or duo who best performs a Disney song. Free refreshments will be served.
Healthy eating tips
Gorillas in Your Midst will provide fresh fruit and healthy eating tips to students from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, April 7, and Wednesday, April 10, at the Student Recreation Center.
