‘Inequality for All’

The American Democracy Project will present a showing of the documentary “Inequality for All” at 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20. Immediately following the film a live webcast with other college campuses and Robert Reich, chancellor’s professor of public policy at the University of California and former secretary of labor under President Bill Clinton’s administration, will take place.
During the webcast issues highlighted in the film will be discussed, as well as the growing inequality faced in the United States.

Free HIV tests

Bryant Student Health Center is providing free, anonymous HIV tests on Thursday, Feb. 20, as well as every third Thursday of the month during the spring semester. Call 235-4452 to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins will be accepted on the basis of available space.

Preschool open house

Little Gorillas Preschool at Pitt State invites residents to learn about its program for 3- to 5-year- old children from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, March 9. Enrollment is open for the 2014-2015 preschool year and a waiting list for applicants will be available during the event.

Apple Day Convocation

The annual Apple Day Convocation will be 3-4 p.m. Thursday, March 6, in the Sharon K. Dean Recital Hall. Classes will be dismissed at this time so students, faculty and staff may participate.
This year’s speaker will be Ms. Paula Baker, CEO of Freeman Health Systems, who completed her bachelor’s in education in 1980 and her master’s in psychology in 1999, both from PSU.

Organist coming to Pitt

Organist Janette Fishell will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, in the Sharon K. Dean Recital Hall as part of PSU’s Solo and Chamber Music Series.
Fishell, professor of organ and chair of the organ department at Indiana University, has traveled and performed all over the world.
Tickets are $12 for general admission and $8 for senior citizens/children under 18 and are available at the PSU Ticket Office located in the Weede.

Grad Finale March 26

The Grad Finale will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, in the Balkans Room of Overman Student Center. Students completing their degree requirements in May or July of 2014 and who will attend commencement on May 9 or 10, are invited to attend the Finale as it is an opportunity to handle many graduation needs and provide answers to questions and concerns.
