Outstanding alumni
presentation Friday

Andy Carson, a PSU Outstanding Alumni Award recipient and host of the show “Good Day Oregon,” will give a presentation on what it takes to achieve career success at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 19, in the PSU Studio Theater.

Professors offering
music, poetry event

Christopher Anderson, PSU assistant professor of English, and Stacey Barelos, Missouri Southern State University assistant professor of music, will present an event titled “A Night of Fear and Trembling: Phobias in Poetry and Music.” The free event will be presented twice, once at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, in MSSU’s Corley Auditorium, and once at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, in PSU’s McCray Hall. Featured will be music by Barelos, poetry by Anderson, and music and poetry by students from both schools.

Art Walk Friday

There will be an Art Walk from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, in downtown Pittsburg. For more information, find the Pittsburg Art Walk on Facebook.

Intramural tournaments

Intramural Sports is organizing inner-tube water polo and softball tournaments. The entry deadline for the tournament is Sunday, Oct. 21. Play beginning Thursday

The PSU Theater is presenting the play “The King Stag” at 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, through Saturday Oct. 20, in Memorial Auditorium.
