The PSU volleyball team had extra motivation to win last Friday night’s game, says Becca Pearson: They were hosting their second annual international night.
“Even though our game plan didn’t change going into this game, there was more of an incentive to win for our great fans and supporters,” said Pearson, senior in exercise science.
Having an international night gave Yunxia (Bella) Li, and other international students the chance to learn something new and meet more people.
“I really like that they have international nights,” said Li, junior in English education. “It’s exactly what we international students need.”
Hejinjin (Jane) Yang says she agrees.
“The international night was a good opportunity to get a lot of internationals together at a sporting event,” said Yang, junior in history.
Yang says that the event gave international students a good immersion into the Pitt sporting life.
“The atmosphere was exciting and the audience was very excited,” Yang said. “It was an awesome experience and I can’t wait until the football international night.”
Unfortunately, the Gorillas lost in straight sets to Fort Hays State.
